Some guidelines

Hello Everyone,

I hope this forum is helping you all.
Please try to follow these guidelines while using this forum:
PLEASE MAINTAIN CIVILITY IN POSTING COMMENTS.
PLEASE STOP POSTING USELESS AND MEANINGLESS STUFF ON THE FORUM.
1) Please do not post ads of anything here as this website is not commercial in nature.
2) please search for the answers to your queries in already existing posts and queries. That would save your and my energy and time.
3) I am not in a position to answer questions about any optionals other than pub ad and psychology.
4) please refrain from asking frivolous and meaningless questions. I just delete/ignore these queries.
5) please post queries under the relevant post.

    Congrats for the 1st Rank in the UPSC 2008.
    I am MD Imran,a Software Engineer with Infosys and i too aspire to become a civil servant.

    I just wanted to know how did you decide upon your optional subjects as you being from such a different background.Also advise on selection of the optional papers.

  4. someone kindly clear my doubt.
    I was thinking of selecting Political Science & International relations as an option. But in the UPSC website, the mains syllabus is mentioned only for the Paper 1. The syllabus for the Paper 2 is not mentioned. For all the other subjects, mains syllabus for both paper 1 and paper 2 are mentioned. Can someone please clarify.

    am i missing some thing please do tell me i suppose geography is missing

    could you please tell me the names of the missing books
