Choosing coaching institute

Again a very difficult process.
In fact, I have been a victim of this process.

These days, you all must be looking at Hindu page for ads. You must be finding my name and many other selected candidates' names and photographs being published. My sincere advice to you all is: Please do not go by these ads and select a certain coaching institute. I am sure you must be aware that in the course of studies, many students enrol in diff classes but often do not attend any classes there. But when the results come out, these coaching institutes look up their databases to find any selected candidates and try to claim credit for their success.

Now what's the purpose of this? To befool students coming from all over the country. Please don't go by these ads.  In the next post I will talk about how to select a coaching institute and which ones are good and which ones are farce. Just hold on.

Best,
Shubhra

  1. I wish you could do something about these ads! I hate them and was even planning to confront you on this. Please do not endorse coachings and mags (they are pedestrian) and they will all try to buy you. Please keep writing here. Stay away from career mags who will want to pay you huge money to buy you. You can also give media interviews that you did not benefit/join these coachings for any considerable period.

I am building a critique of UPSC; presently very busy but will surely want to meet you after June; have met toppers in the past (and even humiliated a few) for endorsing many coachings/mags!

When you have time visit my blog and read the more than 50 comments to know about my critique of UPSC. I am a PhD Student JNU who should have been selected easily but for an erroneous UPSC!

will meet you later; presently very busy.

  3. Hi,

Vaji notes for Pub ad are not good. You can leave them. Try IIPA journals and IGNOU notes(splly for the first 4 chapters).

time depends on ur schedule. But on an avg 3 months wud suffice.

    Thanks
